Golf Courses

The Leicestershire Golf Club

Evington Ln, Leicester LE5 6DJ, UK – 0116 273 8825

One of the best courses in Leicestershire, still has very high standards for even the guests playing. Make sure you check the dress code on the website as they will turn you away if you are not dressed appropriately. Everyone is very friendly and the food is amazing.

Well the course was tough enough without the additional remnants of a storm. Course was in good condition, greens decent for October. Clubhouse is in good condition with great views over the course from an elevated 1st floor. Staff very friendly and obliging. Food is of a good standard too. Will be a better course to play when the new par 5 tees are introduced. Worth a visit regardless

Golf Equipment

European Golf

77/79 Southfields Dr, Leicester LE2 6QT, UK – 0116 244 0297

As a first-time female golfer, I didn't want to spend a huge amount of money but I did need some essentials. I found the website helpful so went along to the shop on Southfields Drive, Leicester. The sales chap was really friendly and helpful, he made me feel very at ease (not knowing anything about golf etc.) he suggested some items which I would need and helped me to find the most competitively priced. The amount of stock in-store was amazing and I'd say more than 50% of it was in the sale at up to 70% off. The ladies section upstairs is vast with lots of choice in style and price, it has everything you'd need to get started and to keep your equipment and clothing updated. I'd previously visited the American Golf shop on the Welford Road and had a completely different experience, I was in the shop for about 5 minutes trying to find the women's shoes/clothing - there was very little (almost nothing) for women and I didn't get asked if I needed any help until I walked past the sales man on my way out of the door.
